Senator Dodd Cites Prostate Cancer Among Reasons for Opting Againt Re-Election Bid

Senator Christopher Dodd of Connecticut, a powerful member of the United States Congress, announced that he will not seek re-election to a sixth term in the Senate.

Among several reasons cited for his decision, Dodd listed his recent diagnosis of and treatment for prostate cancer as well as his sister's recent death.
