Oscar-winning actor Louis Gossett Jr. recently announced that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
According to a released statement, his cancer was detected at an early stage and he has already begun treatment.
Gossett, 73, is best known for his role in the 1983 movie, "An Officer and a Gentleman."
