You want to eat right and take a supplement or two to reduce your chance of developing prostate cancer. What is recommended?

  • Selenium (100-200 mcg/day)
  • Saw Palmetto (160 mg twice a day)
  • Tomatoes / Lycopene (30 mg from diet)
  • Aspirin (81-325 mg/day)
  • Green and/or Black Tea (much better than soda!)
  • Zyflamend (olive oil and herb supplement-very promising)

Of course, a healthy diet low in animal fat and regular exercise are all good bets to reduce your prostate cancer risk.

Above all, early detection is your number one defense against prostate cancer. Get the recommended annual screening with the DRE and PSA test if you are 50 or over. Get them earlier if you are at higher risk.
