Definition: Regionalized Prostate Cancer is when prostate cancer has spread outside of the prostate and into the adjacent tissue. Generally this means that it has broken out side of the prostate capsule and advanced into one or both of the seminal vesicles.

When prostate cancer is termed as regionalized, it has not yet been discovered in the lymph nodes or metastasized to other places in the body. Regionalized prostate cancer is given a Stage III rating.

Examples: My prostate cancer has spread to the seminal vesicles and is therefore known as regionalized prostate cancer.
