Herbal Supplement Zyflamend(r)
A study at the Columbia University Department of Urology has found that Zyflamend(r), an herbal supplement, was able to reduce prostate cancer proliferation by as much as 78 percent and increased prostate cancer cell death (apoptosis) in vitro.
Strong laboratory research results led Columbia to launch a Phase I human clinical trial to test if Zyflamend(r) is effective in preventing prostate cancer in patients diagnosed with prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (a prostate cancer precursor). Officials involved in the study have been very encouraged by the early results of the trial.

Recommendation
Other than for green tea, studies have not been performed on the individual ingredients to determine if it is the combination of herbs causing the protective effect, or one ingredient. Nonetheless, the preliminary results of this study seems very promising.
New Chapter recommends one soft gel twice a day with meals-- if you are at a higher risk for prostate cancer and want to take an easy supplement which seems to protect, Zyflamend(r) may be for you.
