- After much research and advice from my cousin, I went to Decatur, Ga to RC cancer center and had I-125 seeds implanted and three weeks later went back for 7 weeks of IMRT (external beam radiation). I went from a 4.5 PSA and 6gleason score to .1 PSA 5 years later. I have minimal side effects and it was a great experience. It is less invasive than surgery with an equal to or better cure rate. I know this sounds like an advert, but I would do it again, and everyone I met there has expressed the same sentiment. Make sure you explore all of your options before making a decision!
